Pregnancy Physiotherapy

Pregnancy is a time of incredible change. As your body adapts to support a growing baby, it’s common to experience discomfort, uncertainty around movement and exercise, and questions about how best to prepare for birth. 
 
Physiotherapy during pregnancy focuses on keeping you strong, comfortable and confident, both for birth and recovery.  We recommend booking your initial birth preparation assessment after your 20-week scan to establish a baseline for optimal management. 
 
We recommend booking your follow-up birth preparation appointment at around 32–34 weeks of pregnancy, as this timing allows for the most accurate assessment of pelvic floor distension and overall readiness for birth.  Earlier review may be recommended when required.
